i started taking pictures again recently, though. the four new ones are from a camping trip i went on this summer. i know i know, they're a lot different from my usual vibrant and colorful photos. but at this time in my life the moody undertones of black and white really appeals to me. i like that the light and dark contrast is the main focus of these photos. color can be distracting, it hides the imperfections... the absence of color makes them more emotional -- even something as simple as a landscape can portray human feelings. i might experiment with this more.

Have you ever heard of the Sugar Jark Tree?
'Tis a marvel of great renown!
It blooms on the shore of the dA community
In the garden of Deviant Town;
The honey that it yields is so wondrously yellow
Jark come back, you left not long ago.
